The Southern Regional Police Department accepts prescription medications for disposal. 

We do not accept liquids, syringes or needles (sharps).  Click HERE for guidance.  Please make sure all medications are secured in a container or bag to prevent spills. 

The department has acquired a Drop Off Box courtesy of the York County Solid Waste Authority to secure medications to be destroyed. 

The box is located in the lobby of the police department and you may drop off unused or outdated prescriptions during lobby hours Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.  

The year-round acceptance allows citizens to get the medications out of their house and secure without having to wait for scheduled dates.

All medications will be secured for disposal and no questions of name, etc. will be asked.
