The Hanover Borough Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the 200 block of Baer Avenue at approximately 11:45 PM on Saturday May 16, 2026.  It was reported that an armed man struck a 17 year old Hanover juvenile in the head with a handgun and took their cellular phone.

The suspect was believed to have then traveled generally West. The juvenile victim suffered minor injury.

The suspect is described as a white male, late teens, and having dreadlocks. He was armed with a handgun.

The police department believes this is an isolated incident. The investigation continues and anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information about the incident is asked to contact the Hanover Borough Police Department at 717-637-5575 or through York County 911.
