LANSDALE BOROUGH- The Lansdale Borough Police Department would like to remind residents about the laws governing micro-mobility devices, as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code (Section 102).

Many of these devices fall into categories that:
A common source of confusion involves engine size. While the 50cc threshold is often used to determine licensing and registration requirements, it does not automatically make a device legal for use on public roads or other public areas.
The Lansdale Borough Police Department encourages residents of all ages to enjoy recreational activities safely and responsibly. Officers will make every effort to educate the public on these laws; however, enforcement action, including citations, may be taken when violations occur.
Residents are encouraged to review applicable laws and ensure compliance before operating any micro-mobility device.
