The Ambler Borough Police Department offers a program called “Project Safe Return”. This program is focused on our elderly, memory-impaired, and neurodiverse community members. The goal of Project Safe Return is to enable our community members and their families to provide their loved one's information with our department in the event of contact with law enforcement. To enroll, the community member and/or family member you will need to complete a Project Safe Return form on our Police Departments Crimewatch page. Please click on the Forms Tab and then click on the Project Safe Return Tab. Complete all the necessary information and upload a picture of your loved one. This information will allow law enforcement officers to access personal background information immediately during an emergency. This information will help our officers make informed decisions about how to intervene peacefully and avoid actions that may trigger fear, anxiety, or even a violent response.
