On August 1, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. the Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the Walmart in East Stroudsburg regarding a retail theft.  Upon arrival the officer met with loss prevention and a female being detained and identified as Keiyana Washington.  Washington was observed on the store's surveillance system selecting various merchandise for sale without paying for it and then taking it to customer service for a return.  The items were fraudulently returned, and she received a refund for $157.58, depriving Walmart of the $157.58.  Washington was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility for processing.

Charges were filed and a bench warrant was issued for Keiyana S. Washington for failing to appear for court.
