On February 1, 2026, at 9:51 p.m. the Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to an apartment on Crystal Street in East Stroudsburg for a report of an assault.  Upon arrival the victim was in the hallway, and he was holding his right shoulder, which appeared to be deformed and possibly dislocated.  The victim related that he walked in and past another male tenant "talking shit".  The male was identified as Carlos Gamarra.  As the victim was going up the staircase, he was grabbed by his ankle and dragged to the bottom of the steps and was punched in the face several times causing bruising under his left eye.  The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.  

Charges were filed and a bench warrant was issued due to Carlos Gamarra failing to appear for court.
