On Saturday, February 14th, 2026, at approximately 9:37 PM, Stroud Area Regional Police Department was dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street in Stroudsburg, near the Sherman Theater, for a report of an ice sculpture that had been knocked down. The caller reported seeing a male and female knock over the ice sculpture in front of the Sherman Theater and then walk west on Main Street. The caller provided a description of these individuals and officers located them on the 700 block of Main Street. These suspects were identified and admitted to knocking over the ice sculpture.
Shortly after speaking with these suspects, officers were alerted to another ice sculpture that was damaged in front of the EZ Taqueria, also located in the 500 block of Main Street. Officers met with the store owner who provided a picture of the individuals that knocked over their ice sculpture. They were identified as the same male and female that knocked over the ice sculpture in front of the Sherman Theater. Charges will be filed upon completion of the investigation.
The ice sculptures were purchased by individual businesses on Main Street as part of their participation in Stroudsburg's Annual Winterfest, held on Saturday, February 14th, 2026. This is a great event that brings visitors in from the community and from all over the metropolitan area.
