On July 21, 2026, at 1:11 p.m., the Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the Walmart in East Stroudsburg for a report of a retail theft with the white male fleeing the scene.  Upon arrival loss prevention was reporting that a white male wearing a white shirt and beige shorts fled the store after under-ringing merchandise at the self-checkout and without paying for $181.12 worth of merchandise.  The male used a credit card as the form a payment, which identified him as Derrick Torres.  He was positively identified by his driver's license photo.  Torres has been convicted of retail theft twice.

Charges were filed and an arrest warrant was issued for Derrick Scott Torres.
