On March 23, 2026, the Stroud Area Regional Police were contacted by Lowe's in Stroud Township in reference to a retail theft.  Loss prevention was reporting that on November 11, 2025, at 1:55 p.m. a male identified as Renato William Sullivan entered the store with an empty cart and selected a Mig Welder and welder mask.  Sullivan then walked around the store and proceeded to the self-checkout and scans an item valued at $4.98.  Sullivan then utilizes his PA driver's license to use a Lowe's gift card to complete the transaction.  Sullivan then walks out of the store and is observed loading the welder into a white Ford F150 pickup truck.  The mask and welder were a total of $1,232.48 worth of merchandise not paid for.

Charges were filed and a felony arrest warrant was issued for Renato William Sullivan.
