A Note of Appreciation for Our Road Department
On behalf of the Dallas Township Police Department, I would like to recognize and thank our Road Department for the work they do each and every day.
Much of their work happens behind the scenes, quietly in the background, where it is often overlooked. It plays a critical role in keeping our township safe, functional, and well maintained.
From snow removal and street sweeping to roadway maintenance, storm drain clearing, and care of township properties, their efforts help keep our roads safe and our community looking its best. Their work reflects both pride in what they do and a commitment to the community they serve.
Their support extends well beyond their daily responsibilities. During the recent tractor-trailer crash on SR 309, members of the Road Department assisted at the scene by providing water and supplies to first responders working under challenging conditions. Earlier this week, they also assisted with the road closure and traffic control on Shupp Road after a tree came down on utility lines. That kind of support does not go unnoticed and reflects the teamwork and dedication that define their crew.
If you are participating in Dallas Township’s annual Spring Clean-up this week, take a moment to notice the beautiful new landscaping, along with the work being done to repair and improve the entrance to the police department, including the addition of a new roof over the entranceway. More importantly, take a moment to thank the hardworking men of our Road Department for the pride, care, and dedication they bring to this community every day.
We appreciate their hard work, their reliability, and their continued commitment to this township.
Thank you for all that you do.
