Detectives from the Dallas Township Police Department recently visited Dallas High School to conduct a Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E.) training session for Dallas School District staff.
The training focused on recognizing potential threats, understanding response options, and providing practical strategies to help staff make informed decisions during an active attacker situation.
Equipping educators and staff with the knowledge and tools to respond effectively in an emergency is an important part of school safety. While we hope they never have to put this training into practice, preparation and awareness can make a critical difference in a dangerous situation.
We appreciate the Dallas School District's continued partnership and commitment to school safety. By working together, we can help ensure our schools remain places where students can learn, grow, and feel safe.
