Subject:  Traffic Incident

On Tuesday 23 June 2020 at 7:40pm, West Lampeter Township Police were dispatched to a single vehicle crash in the 800 block of Lampeter Rd.  A black Jeep Grand Cherokee pulling a trailer was traveling north on Lampeter Rd.  For and unknown reason the Jeep crossed the center line, sideswipe the guardrail, crossed back over the center line and struck the other guardrail.  The driver of the vehicle, a 61 year old Lancaster man, was transported to Lancaster General Hospital where he died shortly after arrival.

We are asking that anyone with information or anyone that may have witnessed this incident to contact with West Lampeter Township Police.  It is possible that the driver suffered a medical emergency before the crash but at this time the incident is still under investigation.
