The purpose of this event is to raise money to help the families, particularly the children to assist in their educational needs, of Police Officers from Pennsylvania killed in the line of duty. It is an unfortunate reality that events such as this are needed every year. One can only hope that an event like this can help the families in some small way and ensure that each child knows their loved one is a hero to so many.
