Vehicle Release

Vehicles Impounded by the police department are eligible for release only during the hours of 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. 

In order for your vehicle to be released you must correct the issue that caused your vehicle to be impounded before it will be released. 

Impounded vehicles will only be released to the registered owner unless prior written permission is given to a second party. This requires completing and notarizing the Second Party Vehicle Release Authorization form, which is found here.

Storage facilities are not permitted to release vehicles without a "Release" form from the police department. All towing and Storage fees are the responsibility of the owner.

To retrieve an impounded, you must present proof of valid insurance, valid registration, and a valid driver’s license. The only exception to this requirement is if the vehicle will be towed out of the facility, in which case a "Tow only" release will be issued.
