On August 6, 2026 at 1:36 a.m., West Earl Township Police Department Officers responded to a burglary in progress at 15 Union Ave in New Holland Borough. Upon arrival, an officer located a male, Francisco Rodriguez Jr., on the first-floor roof near a broken window. The investigation revealed that Rodriguez used patio furniture to access the roof and then broke the window, claiming he was trying to retrieve his belongings. While on the roof, Rodriguez yelled threats to the current residents, including death threats and physical harm. It was discovered that Rodriguez had not lived at the address for at least five years. As a result of the investigation, Francisco Rodriguez Jr. was arrested and charged with multiple offenses including Criminal Trespass, Terroristic Threats, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief, and Harassment by Officer Shannon McCorkle. He was arraigned by District Judge Frank Ember Jr. and bail was set at $40,000. Rodriguez failed to post bail and remains in the Lancaster County Prison.
