Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia
West Earl Township, Pa – A Millersville man has been arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, and numerous traffic offenses as a result of a traffic stop.
On November 18, 2020 shortly after 1:00PM, West Earl Township PD Patrol Officer, Josh Mertz conducted a traffic stop on a silver Subaru sedan in the 4400 block of Oregon Pike for a fictitious registration plate displayed on the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Riley Reardon (30YOA) from a PA State Identification Card. While checking Reardon’s drivers information, it was discovered that Reardon was suspended, DUI related. It was also discovered that Reardon was on probation through Lancaster County.
During the investigation, Officer Mertz conducted a search of Reardon’s vehicle. Marijuana and paraphernalia were found and seized. Reardon was placed under arrest, and transported to WEPD’s station for charges and processing.
Officer Mertz charged Reardon with Possession of Marijuana (M), Possession of Paraphernalia (M), Driving While Suspended, DUI Related (S), Expired Inspection (S), Required Financial Responsibility (S), Unauthorized Use of a Registration (S).
Reardon was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge, David Miller, on the charges. Lancaster County Probation placed a detainer on Reardon, which resulted in Reardon being transported to Lancaster County Prison after his arraignment.
The public and media are reminded that all criminal charges are merely accusations and all subjects are innocent until proven guilty.
