On April 24, 2026, the West Earl Township Police Department received a report of an 18-year-old male allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual activities with a minor female. Detective Heather Halstead was assigned to investigate the incident. Following an interview with the victim, it was revealed that she and Andrew Pemberton had two sexual encounters at the New Holland Park, located at 400 E. Jackson Street in New Holland Borough. The victim disclosed that she had shared this information with several individuals, who were subsequently interviewed. As a result of the investigation, Andrew Pemberton was charged by Detective Heather Halstead with multiple counts of Statuatory Sexual Assault, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Unlawful Contact with Minors, Corruptions of Minors and Indecent Assault. Pemberton was arrested on May 29, 2029 at which time he was arraigned by District Judge Torrey Landis and bail was set at $30,000. Although initially detained at the Lancaster County Prison, Pemberton has since been released.
