Due to extreme weather conditions and the weather forecast for significant snow accumulation, Marple Township has declared a snow emergency effective at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, February 22, 2026, as authorized by Marple Township Emergency Management and Administration. This Emergency Declaration will assist in snow removal and the safe passage of emergency vehicles. The Emergency Declaration will end at midnight. on Monday, February 23, 2026, unless you receive further notification.
All TOWNSHIP BUILDINGS, including the Municipal Administration, Library, Paxon Hollow Country Club and all recreation locations, will be closed until such time our Township Public Works personnel can safely make conditions safe. TRASH COLLECTIONS for Monday is cancelled and will resume to a normal schedule on Tuesday.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
- Residents are responsible for clearing clear snow, sleet, and ice from the sidewalks in front of their property no more than 24 hours after a storm.
- Residents are also reminded that it is declared unlawful for any property owner, resident, contractor, agent or employee, to shovel, plow, discharge or otherwise place snow removed from private property into any street, roadway, sidewalk or alley within Marple Township. This ordinance is Strictly enforced!
