***UPDATE: On Thursday, June 20, 2024, The Dauphin County Fire Investigation Team conducted an origin and cause investigation into a fire that severely damaged the14 unit apartment complex at 575 Willow Street in Highspire Borough, which displaced 25 people.

This investigation determined that this fire was accidental in nature and was caused by an electrical fault.  The fire originated within an enclosed area of the exterior wall and spread into several apartments and the roof.

Red Cross assisted those families affected by the fire.***

On Thursday, June 20, 2024, at approximately 12:57 p.m. The Highspire Police Department was dispatched, along with Fire and EMS, to 575 Willow Street, Willow Garden Apartments, for a structure fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Dauphin County Fire Investigation Team. The Red Cross has been providing assistance to those displaced from their homes as a result of the incident.
