With the consent of of the victim, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo moved for Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) in the pending case against suspended Middletown Borough Chief George Mouchette. As part of the agreement, Judge William T. Tully entered a permanent order barring Mouchette from seeking or holding any law enforcement position anywhere. Judge Tully directed that the order be filed at a separate docket. As part of ARD probation, Mouchette will be on supervision for one year and have to perform community service. During Mouchette's suspension, Middletown Borough hired a public safety director as head of its police department. The District Attorney lauded the courage of the victim throughout the case which was delayed due to the pandemic.
