  The thefts from motor vehicles continues to be an ongoing issue in Scott Township, more specifically in the Village of Lightstreet and surrounding area. We urge ALL residents to safeguard your vehicles and property. Please remove ALL valuables from your vehicles (example: GPS, Laptops, Tablets, wallets, credit/gas cards, currency, etc.), and lock your vehicles during all hours of the day. There have been several reports that the thieves have entered garages, through forcible entry. Again we would like to remind ALL residents to take extra steps to ensure that all the doors and windows of your home, garages, sheds and out buildings are locked. We rely on the community as a whole for the suppression of crime. We are asking anyone with information regarding the thefts/break ins to please contact the Scott Township Police Department  (570)784-9114 (Station), (Non-emergency) (570)784-6300,  in case of an Emergency Dial 911.  If you see any suspicious activities or persons please DO NOT approach or intervene, but call the police and we will investigate, any and all leads are valuable.
