Lamar Township:

House Fire

On 06/09/26 at 1614hrs Emergency Services responded to 2006 Long Run Road for a house fire, nobody was home at the time however several pets perished in the incident. Lamar Township Fire Dept, Pa State Police Fire investigator and Mill Hall Police investigated the incident, the fire was ruled as accidental caused by a faulty gas refrigerator.  The homeowners didn't have insurance

Check on the welfare:

On 06/11/26 at 1500 Mill Hall Police responded to check on the welfare of a male juvenile walking around aimlessly in the area of Beagle Road,   when the juvenile was located he was extremely dehydrated and overheated, he was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for treatment of heat exposer and dehydration.

Mill Hall Borough:

Theft of a dump trailer

On 06/11/26 at 1800hrs Mill Hall Police received a report of a stolen 2019 Belmont dump trailer that had been taken overnight from the 8000 blk of Nittany Valley Drive, the trailer was described as a black 14 foot tandem axle bumper pull dump trailer, The trailer was entered in NCIC and the investigation is continuing.

CASTANEA:

UPDATE:   On 06/14/26 The vehicle was Stopped by Police in Drums Pa, the driver was taken into custody and placed in Luzerne County Jail, the vehicle was impounded to be retunned to the owner.

Stolen Vehicle

On 06/11/26 at 1025am a silver 2011 Nissan Rogue was used by the victims relative, when the victim asked for his vehicle back the relative said they didnt  have it, then failed to respond to any phone calls or text messages, after 2 weeks the vehicle has yet to be retuned and is possibly in the Luzerne County area, the vehicle was entered into NCIC and the investigation is continuing.

Lamar Township:

On 06/11/26 at 1832 Mill Hall PD responded to a one vehicle crash at the 1000 block of Mackeyville Road, a tan 2005 Toyota Pickup was traveling north and failed to negotiate a turn on a wet road surface, the vehicle left the roadway, hit several scrubs then went down over an embankment, the investigation is continuing.
