DECLARATION OF SNOW EMERGENCY
Please be advised, Mayor of Oxford, Philip Harris has declared a snow emergency for the Borough beginning this Saturday evening at 6:00 pm (1/24/26) to 12:00 pm on Tuesday (1/27/26). Residents and businesses should be aware of the following snow emergency procedures and regulations:
In a snow emergency, vehicles parked along snow emergency routes must be moved or they will be ticketed and towed at the owners’ expense. Snow emergency routes are marked with red and white signs, do not await a snow emergency declaration and are automatically in that status when snowfall exceeds four inches. Snow emergency routes in the Borough are:
• Fifth Street - From Market Street to the borough line
• Lancaster Avenue - From Third Street to the borough line
• Locust Street - From Third Street to the borough line
• Market Street - From Third Street to the borough line
• Pine Street - From Third Street to the borough line
• Third Street - From the Southern borough line to the Northern Borough line
During the snow emergency residents and patrons of local businesses are permitted to park free of charge in the Parking Garage for the duration of the snow emergency. Parking in the garage is restricted to the first three floors only.
