3/3/24 at 1:04PM, while conducting traffic enforcement for the stop sign at the intersection of N. Walnut Street and Hazel Avenue, Officers observed a Dodge truck fail to stop at the clearly marked and illuminated stop sign. (KS-24-001907). Upon contact with the operator of the vehicle, Officers detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Subsequently, a Non-Traffic Citation for Disorderly Conduct was issued.

3/3/24 at 11:10AM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of S. Mill Road for a found dog. (KS-24-001901). Officers utilized the department’s chip reader and was able to identify and locate the owner of the dog, who was unaware it had left the property.

3/4/24 at 12:20PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a damaged latch on a fence in the 200 Block of E. Linden Street. (KS-24-001937). Officers observed a muddy mark in the area of the latch and could not determine if it was a shoe print or not. Neighborhood interviews were conducted with negative results.

3/4/24 at 1:24PM, Officers were dispatched for a male juvenile using a THC disposable vape pen. (KS-24-001940). One Non-Traffic Citation for Disorderly Conduct was issued.

3/4/24 at 4:13PM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of S. Broad Street for a physical domestic. (KS-24-001944). One subject was taken into custody for charges of Aggravated Assault and other related offenses.

3/4/24 at 6:17PM, Officers were dispatched for a physical domestic in process in the 200 Block of S. Union Street. (KS-24-001946). Upon speaking with the involved parties, Officers were advised the domestic had never became physical. No defensive or offensive wounds were observed on either subject.

3/4/24 7:10PM, Officers were dispatched for juveniles playing “ding, dong, ditch” in the 200 Block of Dalmatian Lane. (KS-24-001947). Officers patrolled the surrounding area for the juveniles, yielding negative results.

3/5/24 5:20PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Lafayette Street in reference to a construction crew leaving pipes in front of the reporting party’s garbage cans. (KS-24-001976).

3/6/24 at 6:36AM, Officers were dispatched to a parking complaint in the 500 Block of W. Mulberry Street. (KS-24-001993). Dispatch advised a silver Toyota pickup truck was blocking the reporting party’s driveway. One parking ticket was issued for the violation. Officers were able to locate the owner of the vehicle and have it moved shortly after the ticket was issued.

3/6/24 at 10:04AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a scam involving someone claiming to be a police officer and stated the reporting party’s identity was stolen and being used. (KS-24-002000). The caller also informed the reporting party that he had a warrant, which was false. Officers called the number provided and it did not ring to any police department and did not come up as a current number on any searches.

3/7/24 at 9:09AM, Officers observed three male juveniles in a restroom and a faint vape cloud could be observed over the stalls. (KS-24-002036). After further investigation, three Non-Traffic Citations were issued.

3/8/24 at 10:58AM, Officers were dispatched for a report in reference to criminal mischief. (KS-24-002080). The reporting party advised sometime in the three previous days; someone removed the bracket that secured the gate on their driveway.  The reporting party advised they were purchasing a surveillance camera and Officers suggested to continue to report issues if they occurred.

3/9/24 at 2:38PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of S. Broad Street for a loose dog running in and out of traffic. (KS-24-002107). Officers patrolled the area with negative results of the dog. Officers were waved down by the reporting party who advised the owner had come and picked up the dog prior to their arrival.

3/9/24 at 8:15PM, while sitting in the south lot of Kennett High School, a passing motorist advised Officers they saw two vehicles off the roadway, in an embankment on Kaolin Road. (KS-24-002113). Officers observed the vehicles and after confirming the driver of the vehicle wasn’t injured, he notified Kennett Township Police of the accident and waited on scene until they arrived.
