On Wednesday 17 February 2021, Officer Gin #188 took his beloved partner retired Police K-9 Eddie to his final vet appointment and laid him to rest at Cares in Langhorne.  K-9 Eddie turned 13 on this past Christmas Eve, and served as Officer Gin’s loyal K-9 partner for 9 years before coming home to retire in October 2018.

K-9 Eddie was imported from the Czech Republic and purchased by the Department on 8 September 2009. Officer Gin and K-9 Eddie completed Patrol training with the Philadelphia Police K-9 Unit in January of 2010 and continued on for Explosive Detection with Philadelphia, graduating in June of 2010. During his career K-9 Eddie performed many searches, tracks and evidence recoveries as well as helping with explosives detection sweeps including the Democratic National Convention with Philadelphia K-9 Unit in 2016.

K-9 Eddie will always be remembered as a loyal and valiant member of The Warminster Township Police Department.
