Heading to the Delaware River this holiday weekend?
The river is beautiful, but it can also be unforgiving, especially during high heat when more people are boating, kayaking, swimming, tubing, and enjoying the water. Cold water, strong currents, submerged rocks, and changing conditions can create serious hazards.
Inflatable tubes and rafts are not substitutes for life jackets. Always wear one when using them.
Additional Water Safety Tips:
Enter the water feet-first. Avoid jumping or diving in unfamiliar areas.
Emergency Information:
Enjoy the holiday safely!
Solebury Township Police officers will be out in the community and monitoring river areas.
Let’s all do our part to make this a safe and memorable holiday weekend for everyone.
