On Christmas Day 2017, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Lincoln Highway and S Bellevue Avenue for an accident with injuries, one vehicle on its side. Upon arrival, officers found 3 vehicles involved and one on its roof with 2 people trapped inside. The Penndel Fire Company and Penndel-Middletown EMS also responded to assist with removal and treatment of the occupants. 3 people were transported to St. Mary's Medical Center for evaluation. After speaking with all parties involved and reviewing security camera footage, it was determined that a red GMC SUV ran a red light, causing the accident. Citations to be filed.
