Good evening, hopefully everyone is has prepared for the big snow storm that is coming tomorrow. How much snow depends on what weather outlet you watched. But we know it's coming.
Please remember that as of 6 P.M. this evening that the Caernarvon Township, Berks County has declared a Snow Emergency until Monday, January 26, 2026 till 2 P.M.
No Parking on any township streets until further notice. please make arrangements this evening to remove all vehicle from the streets. You may also park at any of the township parks or soccer field parking lots until further notice. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS TO VEHICLES BEING LEFT ON THE STREET. Your vehicle will be ticketed and with the Snow Emergency Declaration always any vehicle parked on township streets to be towed at OWNERS EXPENSE. Please we really don't want to have to do that.
Our Public Works Director has informed me that his team will start operations at 5 A.M. Sunday morning and will continue to do plowing operations as long as needed. Remember do not throw or blow or plow snow back into the streets.
If you have a fire hydrant near you please clear a 3 foot radius around it in case of emergency, it will assist our fire department during a emergency.
In case of a power failure please contact your electric company and not 911.

If the event of a power failure in Caernarvon Township, Berks the Township Building would be opened for a warning station.
We ask you check on your elderly neighbors. Please stay off the roads and stay home. Were hearing that several business's will be closing on Sunday.
The Caernarvon Township Police Department will have officer's on duty patrolling and ready to respond to calls if needed.
