Saranac Lake Police Department received information of a male subject with a firearm who also reportedly set fire to a building at 97 Main St. Police Dept and Fire Dept personnel are on scene and have confirmed no active fire. At this time the information appears to be false but all efforts are being made to thoroughly investigate further. There is not believed to be any threat to the public.
