On September 12, 2026, the City of Austell came together in Downtown Austell at Austell Towne Park to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and recognize the rich culture, traditions, and contributions of our Hispanic community.

Events like this provide our officers with an opportunity to connect with the people we serve outside of calls for service. Community policing is about more than being present, it’s about building relationships, having conversations, and strengthening trust.

Sergeant McGhee was spotted making his rounds throughout the celebration, meeting community members and connecting with several local vendors, including Juando Coffeehouse, Blossom Bar, and Hilo De Esperanza.

We appreciate everyone who came out, shared their culture, supported local businesses, and helped make the celebration a success. These positive interactions are an important part of building lasting relationships between the Austell Police Department and the community we proudly serve.
