Hey neighbors, they are really at it today! A new scam is making the rounds and it’s preying on people’s hopes with emotional and patriotic language. If you’ve received a text saying you’ve won Powerball, that the sender has cancer, or phrases like “you are lucky,” “God bless America,” please know: sadly, it’s not real.
This message uses this unusual name, cheNe SAEPHAN, with strange capitalization, and the text reads “United State” (not States). These are red flags.
We know it's tempting to believe a windfall could change your life, especially when the message sounds heartfelt or even divine. But scammers are using these tactics to deceive kind-hearted people. Please do not reply or click any links.
