In 2025, only six MIS classes were held across the United States. Sgt. Jarmon attended the session in Scottsdale, Arizona, September 15–19, joining over 100 law enforcement professionals from across the country and internationally. His squad of 16 was led by Senior Master Instructors, experienced police officers who guided candidates through this advanced program taught by Axon engineers and staff.
The Axon TASER Master Instructor School is an elite certification designed for seasoned TASER instructors who aspire to train and certify other instructors. The course provides in-depth knowledge of TASER technology, training best practices, and safety standards.
A minimum or combination of law enforcement experience and active military service. (Jarmon served in the United States Marine Corp from 2002 until 2006 where he reached the rank of Sergeant)
Active certified TASER instructor and having instructed at least two Taser classes
Certified firearms instructor and other high-liability training credentials
Demonstrated ability to meet the program’s physical demands (even in the Arizona heat!)
Seats in this program are highly limited, requiring agency sponsorship and Axon’s acceptance. Sgt. Jarmon’s achievement reflects his commitment to advancing training standards for our department and a safer Cortez community.
Please join us in celebrating Brent's accomplishment!
