A significant win in the fight against illegal drugs occurred in our community thanks to the hard work of the investigators from the Cortez-Montezuma Narcitucs Team. This hard work resulted in Ramon DeJesus being sentenced to 16 years in prison (full story here). The men and women of the Cortez Police Department and the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office continue to fight the drug epidemic facing our communities. Together with community support, we can stop the illegal drugs from being imported and distributed in our community.
