Administrative offices will be closed on December 31 and January 1.
Emergency services are available. Call or text 911!
We also encourage everyone to take extra precautions during the holidays, especially if you are traveling:
Lock vehicles, sheds, trailers, and homes before leaving.
Ask neighbors to keep an eye out for unusual activity.
Stop by the post office to place your mail on hold.
Replace batteries in doorbell cameras and ensure they are working properly.
Unplug Christmas trees, unused appliances, and space heaters.
Install motion sensor lights
Remove valuables, IDs and documents and even boxes from vehicles to avoid temptation.
Finally, remember: Drive sober or get pulled over. Spending New Year’s Eve dealing with the consequences of impaired driving is not the way to start the year. Our goal is always #VisionZero traffic fatalities and serious injuries!
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to a safer Cortez!
