Yesterday, officers from the Cortez Police Department had the opportunity to visit the wonderful students at Beech Street Preschool. We love meeting with our youngest community members because positive interactions at an early age help build trust, strengthen relationships, and create a sense of comfort with those who serve and protect our community.

For many children, seeing a police officer up close is like meeting a real-life superhero. During the visit, the kids got to learn about police work, ask questions, and even take home a squishy police car modeled after our patrol vehicles. We had a great time sharing smiles, making memories, and investing in relationships that can benefit our community for years to come. Thank you, Beech Street Preschool, for having us!
