The City of Craig is pleased to announce the installation of new traffic signals at the intersection of State Highway 40 (SH40 - Victory Way) and State Highway 13 (SH13). This long-anticipated upgrade is part of the City and State's ongoing commitment to improving road safety, reducing congestion, and supporting local infrastructure growth. The new stop light configuration is are now fully operational and were installed in coordination with the Colorado Department of Transportation's (CDOT) assistance. This intersection has seen increased traffic volume in recent years, particularly during peak travel hours and seasonal tourism. The new light configuration is expected to significantly enhance driver and pedestrian safety while streamlining traffic flow through one of Craig's busiest intersections. Driver's will start to see that North and South bound traffic on SH13 will have their own green lights without on-coming traffic to wait for. East and west traffic on SH40 (Victory Way) will also see green right of way arrows for turning. City officials encourage drivers to remain alert as they adjust to the new traffic pattern and thank the community for its patience during the upgrade process.
