On the morning of 09/19/25, the All Crimes Enforcement Team (ACET), with assistance from the Craig PD, the Moffat County Sheriff’s, and the Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at 1225 W. 6th St, Apt B25, in Craig, Colorado. The warrant stemmed from an ACET investigation indicating that illegal drug distribution was taking place at the residence.
As a result of the operation, 48-year-old Dustin Hyatt and 46-year-old Tanya Vallejos were arrested on charges related to the Illegal Distribution of Controlled Substances (Methamphetamine). Due to the significant quantity of methamphetamine seized, both individuals face Class 1 Drug Felonies—the most severe drug felony under Colorado law. Hyatt, a previously convicted felon, also faces additional charges of Possession of Weapons by a Previous Offender after officers recovered a rifle, three handguns, and other weapons inside the apartment.
Hyatt has a prior criminal history in the region. On 03/20/25, he was arrested following an ACET investigation that revealed he possessed multiple voyeuristic photographs taken in a public restroom. Investigators later determined that Hyatt had placed his phone in the women’s restroom of the Jimmy John’s restaurant in Steamboat Springs on at least ten occasions in 2024, capturing 51 images of approximately 33 victims. Hyatt has since entered a guilty plea to Invasion of Privacy for Sexual Gratification, a Class 1 misdemeanor, with sentencing scheduled for 11/19/25.
ACET is a multi-jurisdictional task force made up of officers and deputies from the Craig Police Department, the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office, the Steamboat Springs Police Department, and the Routt County Sheriff’s Office. Its mission is to identify, disrupt, and dismantle drug-trafficking organizations in Northwest Colorado.
ACET and its partner agencies remain committed to enforcing Colorado’s drug laws and encourage residents to report suspected drug activity to their local law-enforcement authorities.
At this stage of the case, the charges listed are merely allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
