Loganton Woman Pleads Guilty to Forgery of Doctor's Notes

LOCK HAVEN - On Tuesday, Dawn Herlocher, 48. of Loganton, entered guilty pleas to 4 counts of Forgery (M1) before Clinton County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Craig P. Miller.  Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Matthew Dillon had charged Herlocher with forging doctor's notes from a Centre County medical provider on 17 separate occasions and providing them to Kystone Central School District officials in an effort to have a habitually truant minor child in her care excused from attending school.   The investigation determined that Herlocher had fabricated the excuses and had forged the signatures of two different medical providers over the course of several months in 2024 and 2025.

Judge Miller ordered a pre-sentence investigation to be prepared by Clinton County Adult Probation and scheduled sentencing for October 6, 2026.  Pennsylvania Sentencing Guidelines require Herlocher to be sentenced to a term of probation between 24 and 96 months.
