On August 3, 2026, at 7:48 a.m., Officer Mitchell Rogers was conducting a speed enforcement operation in the 900 block of East Main Street in Earl Township. He noticed a black Mazda CX-3 traveling eastbound, which he clocked at 59 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone. Officer Rogers pulled over the vehicle in the 600 block of West Main Street and identified the driver as Jose Calichs Jr. of Lititz, Pa. During the stop, Calichs presented Officer Rogers with an ignition interlock-restricted driver's license, but the officer discovered that the vehicle was not equipped with the required interlock system.

Jose Calichs was taken into custody, and charges will be filed with District Judge Jonathan Heisse, Illegally operating a vehicle without ignition interlock and Maximum speed limits.
