On Saturday, July 25, 2026, at about 2:19 a.m., the Stroud Area Regional Police Department was dispatched to a residence on Ridgeway Street in East Stroudsburg Borough for the report of a home invasion with a male stabbing victim.
The male victim was then transported by his girlfriend to the Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospital during the 911 call. Officers responded to the scene, as well as the hospital, where they spoke with the victim and the victim's girlfriend. At the hospital, Investigators also observed a Honda Accord with a large steppingstone through the front windshield of the vehicle. This vehicle belonged to the victim's girlfriend, which she used to drive the victim to the hospital. As a result of the proceeding investigation and witness interviews the following was learned:
The victim sustained four (4) stab wounds to his extremities, which consisted of one to his right calf, one to his right thigh, one to his left thigh and one to his ring finger on his left hand.
The suspect, later identified as Star White, and his girlfriend, who were both known to the victim and the victim’s girlfriend, fled the scene in a gray Volkswagen Jetta GLI.
The victim reported that he had just arrived at his girlfriend’s residence via a friend who drove him there. Upon their arrival, a gray Volkswagen Jetta GLI sedan pulled up near them. Star White exited the vehicle and approached White's friend on the driver’s side of his vehicle. The victim said that White put a knife blade up to the victim’s friend’s neck. The victim then ran away and up the back porch stairs to flee into his girlfriend’s residence. White proceeded to follow the victim.
The victim’s girlfriend, who was sitting on her back porch waiting for the victim to arrive, saw what had occurred and witnessed her boyfriend/victim run up onto the back porch and into the residence. The victim’s girlfriend then fled into the residence behind the victim and tried to lock the sliding glass door. White approached the door and was able to force the door open and pushed his way past the victim’s girlfriend.
White then made his way through the residence and found the victim in the master bedroom. White cornered the victim into a corner closet within the bedroom and after a short physical altercation, White stabbed the victim several times, before being pulled away by the victim’s girlfriend.
White then exited the residence and was met by his girlfriend on the back porch. White’s girlfriend is suspected of having thrown a large steppingstone through the front windshield of the victim’s girlfriend’s vehicle while White was inside of the residence. White then fled the scene in the gray Volkswagen Jetta GLI with his girlfriend’s aid.
Criminal charges were completed on Star White, consisting of several felony crimes including Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Possessing Instruments of Crime. An arrest warrant was later issued.
On Monday, August 03, 2026, Star White turned himself in on the arrest warrant to MDJ Wolbert’s Office, accompanied by a Defense Attorney.
White’s bail was set at $40,000 secured and he was then transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility where he was released upon posting bail.
