On 6/8/2026 at 10:13 pm, CPD officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Fort Chambersburg Park for a hit-and-run. Upon arrival, officers located a 2004 Ford F-150 with extensive damage to the front without anybody in or around the vehicle. During the investigation, camera footage showed the vehicle pulling into the parking lot on 6/7/2026 at 2:30 am. The vehicle then struck a borough pole and a metal chain-linked fence.
