On Friday June 26th, 2026, Officers Erin Godfrey and Chase Martin graduated from the Reading Police Academy.  They completed 919 hours of training over a 6-month period.  Their training included PA law, rules of criminal procedure, physical fitness, defensive tactics, emergency driving, firearms and first aid.  Upon graduation both officers took a cumulative final exam before receiving their certification from the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission.  They both passed the final exam and are currently assigned to patrol duties with a field training officer.  They will be assigned to field training for the next 12 to 14 weeks.  Please help us welcome Officers Godfrey and Martin to our community and our law enforcement family.
