Just a reminder from the Stroud Area Regional Police Department that there will be DUI checkpoints and DUI roving patrols occurring now through July 7, 2026, in Monroe County.  

This July 4th holiday is the 250th Anniversary of our Nation.  It is a time to celebrate freedom.  So, if you are going to attend any parties, picnics or celebrations, please don't jeopardize your freedom by driving impaired.  As part of your celebration planning be sure to include a sober ride home by utilizing public transportation such as a taxi, Uber or Lyft, or make arrangements for a sober family member or friend to drive you home.

Don't lose your freedom over a simple solution of calling for a sober ride!
