On February 9, 2026, the West Earl Township Police Department received a report concerning an adult male, identified as Nathan L Dissmore, who allegedly engaged in inappropriate communication with a juvenile male via the social media platform SnapChat. Detective Heather Halstead took over the investigation and conducted interviews, which led to the identification of additional juvenile victims. It was discovered that during these conversations, Dissmore sent explicit images of himself to the juveniles and solicited them to engage in sexual activities, including a request for a video call.
As a result of the investigation, Detective Heather Halstead charged Nathan L. Dissmore with the following offenses:
(4) counts of Disseminating Explicit Sexual Material (F3)
(2) Counts of Unlawful Contact with Minors- Obscene and other Sexual Materials (F2)
(2) Counts of Corruption of Minors- Defendant age 18 or Above (F3)
(1) Count of Unlawful Contact with Minors- Sexual Offenses (F3)
(1) Count of Criminal Solicitation to commit Sexual Abuse of Children (F2)
(1) Count of Criminal Use of Communication Facility (F2)
A warrant was issued for his arrest, which was signed by District Judge Jonathan Heisse. Dissmore was taken into custody on May 15, 2026, at 0641 hours at his residence. He was subsequently arraigned by District Judge Jonathan Heisse, who set his bail at $50,000. Dissmore was initially committed to the Lancaster County Prison but has since been released on bail.
