Mykel Brandon Cole, 43, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with Aggravated Assault by Vehicle while DUI, 2 counts of Driving Under Influence and a summary traffic violation after officers responded to crash in the 300 block of East Church Street on 18 September 2024, at approximately 0157 hours.   Officers investigated and found Cole failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, crossed into the on-coming lane and struck a vehicle head on.  Cole was not injured but officers determined he was impaired. A breath test indicated a blood alcohol concentration to be .133%.  The driver of the other vehicle sustained serious head injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.   Cole was arraigned on the felony charges and was released on unsecured bail.
