Marcella Yvette Semo, 39, of Ephrata, PA, was charged with Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Public Drunkenness after police were called to the Comfort Inn, 1 Denver Road, on 17 January 2024.  At approximately 2130 hours, Officers were called for an assault in progress in the hallway of the hotel. When Officers arrived, Semo kicked officers before being taken into custody and then again after being handcuffed.  She was arraigned at Lancaster County Central Booking and remanded to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of bail.  The juvenile victim of the assault and the officer that was kicked, both refused medical attention.
