Impersonating a Public Servant
West Earl Township, Pa – An Ephrata man has been arrested for impersonating a public servant.
On July 6, 2023 at 1:40PM, Sergeant Jordan Byrnes took a report about a male that may have been impersonating a public servant from a local business within West Earl Township.
Staff from Park Place Automotive, reported that Sean Quick (55YOA) came into the place of business dressed in what was described as a full law enforcement related outfit, equipped with an outer ballistic carrier, taser, firearm, flashlight, handcuffs, OC spray. Quick had the patch, “Agent” on the back of his outer carrier.
Sergeant Byrnes reviewed the business’s security camera footage and took statements from the employees. Based on the security footage and statements, charges were filed and an arrest warrant was granted for Quick.
With his attorney present, Quick turned himself in on the single charge of Impersonating a Public Servant (M2) at Magisterial District Judge, Jonathan Heisse’s office on August 22, 2023. Quick waived his arraignment and preliminary hearing. Quick will be scheduled to show up for a trial at the Lancaster County Courthouse at a later date and time.
The public and media are reminded that all criminal charges are merely accusations and all subjects are innocent until proven guilty.
