Job Description
Qualifications
Must be able to learn animal control regulations, laws, and ordinances. Must stay informed on health issues, new laws, and animal control methods. Must have a genuine liking for animals and concern for their welfare and enjoy interacting with the public. Must be able to work around animals that may eventually be euthanized. Must be willing to be trained to perform euthanasia. Must be able to communicate with the public and with co-workers effectively, in friendly and potentially volatile situations. Must be able to perform strenuous physical activities and be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be punctual and dependable in attendance. Must be able to analyze and act responsibly in any situation, make independent decisions, and complete all necessary daily tasks. Must be able to work weekends and flexible hours as scheduled. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have a valid Colorado driver's license.
