The police department is aware of the reported problems with the traffic light at Edgmont Avenue and Brookhaven Road. Many motorists have reported shortened light cycles which is causing traffic to back up much more than normal. The issues began after equipment needed replacement following a vehicle crash which damaged the traffic control box. 

The police department and the Borough Engineer have been working closely with our vendor to get the lights functioning normally. This is an ongoing process and it will take time. However, we believe at this time most of the issues have been resolved. Thank you for your patience as we continue to monitor the intersection functionality.
