7/30/23 at 7:53PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 Block of S. Walnut Street on a vehicle whose inspection and emissions were expired in March of 2022. (KS-23-007685). Due to the operator of the vehicle driving with an expired inspection and without valid insurance, the vehicle was towed from the scene of the traffic stop.

7/31/23 at 5:32PM, Officers were requested to assist Pennsylvania State Police Avondale with translation while on a traffic stop on Chatham Street. (KS-23-007712).

7/31/23 at 3:47AM, Officers were dispatched to respond to the Post Office for an activated distress alarm. Contact was made with the employee who stated their code did not work correctly. (KS-23-007698). The building was searched and cleared.

8/1/23 at 5:18PM, Officers were dispatched to an accident involving a pedestrian struck in the area of W. Cypress Street and Garfield Street. (KS-23-007735). A Non-Traffic Citation related to public drunkenness was completed.

8/2/23 at 2:24PM, while conducting a speed detail in the area of E. State Street and S. Walnut Street, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 50 MPH in a clearly marked 25MPH zone. (KS-23-007763). Upon making contact with the operator of the vehicle, Officers detected the odor of unburn marijuana coming from the vehicle. A Traffic Citation and Non-Traffic Citation were issued for the operator of the vehicle.

8/2/23 at 2:51PM, Officers received a report for an individual digging in the reporting party’s yard when they returned home on 8/1/23. (KS-23-007765). The reporting party asked the subject to leave and did not want to press charges, but wanted it documented in case they returned in the future.

8/2/23 at 5:59PM, Officers were dispatched for a possible robbery, at a business in the 500 Block of W. Cypress Street. (KS-23-007771). Officers were able to view surveillance footage with negative results of anyone taking money from the ATM machine as reported.

8/2/23 at 9:09PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a male juvenile, walking back and forth in the area of E. Cedar Street before running up Sycamore Aly. (KS-23-007773). Officers conducted a searched of the area with negative results of a male juvenile matching the description given.

8/3/23 at 6:27AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a vehicle which was being repossessed in the 300 Block of E. Linden Street. (KS-23-007783). The vehicle was towed without incident.

8/3/23 at 9:23PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Birch Street for a missing male juvenile. (KS-23-007805). Upon arrival contact was made with the reporting party who advised the juvenile had returned home shortly after police were contacted.

8/4/23 at 1:32PM, Officers were dispatched to 100 Waterworks Drive for an individual walking around with their dog off leash. (KS-23-007821). Officers were able to locate the subject and advise them of the Borough Ordinance in reference to dogs being leashed. A Non-Traffic Citation was issued for this incident.

8/4/23 at 7:52PM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of E. Cope Road to assist the fire company with an odor investigation. (KS-23-007824).

8/4/23 at 5:50PM, Officers were dispatched for graffiti on the pay kiosk in the parking garage. (KS-23-007823). After conducting a walkthrough of the first floor, Officers observed several more “tags” in the compact parking area. Pending review of surveillance footage.

8/5/23 at 12:08AM, Officers were dispatched to assist the fire department in the 500 Block of W. State Street with an appliance fire. (KS-23-007831).

8/3/23 at 4:45PM, Officers were dispatched for a Non-Reportable Accident at the intersection of S. Union Street and W. Mulberry Street. (KS-23-007797).

8/4/23 at 5:23PM, Officers were dispatched for a Non-Reportable Accident on Liden Street. (KS-23-007822).
